Book App

As a leading photobook publisher with a fast-growing product line, MyPublisher’s BookMaker app needed a major overhaul. Working closely with the development team, we redesigned the outdated downloadable desktop app to create a more robust and streamlined web app.

The full book view was small and it was hard to design without constantly zooming in. Toggling between full view and zoom was cumbersome for users.
The interface was cluttered— there were too many menus, icons and popups, and users found it hard to access tools and settings quickly.

Cleaner interface with minimal color/texture so that user’s photobook takes center stage, and slide out and collapsible menus to create more book preview space.
All design tools were consolidated into one comprehensive menu on the right side, while overall book settings— page count, navigation, user image library— were combined into a collapsible menu at the bottom

Calendar App

A new product that was rolled out prior to the redesign of MyPublisher’s book app, the calendar app was modelled after the existing BookMaker. One of the key considerations during this project was to create a more user-friendly interface that would be compatible with the existing technology and not require major back-end upgrades.
